Kalman Yeger is running to represent the 41st Assembly District, after Assemblymember Helene Weinstein announced her retirement earlier this year.

Kalman is the current New York City Councilmember for the 44th District in Brooklyn, representing the communities of Borough Park, Bensonhurst, Gravesend, Sunset Park, Midwood and Midwood. Prior to his election to Council in 2017, Kalman served as the chief counsel to former New York City Councilmember David Greenfield and as a top advisor to former Bronx Borough President and Mayoral candidate Fernando Ferrer. Kalman has worked in multiple capacities in New York City politics for over 20 years.  He is a graduate of Touro College and New York Law School.  A lifelong resident of Midwood, Kalman has been a member of Community Board 14 and has served on the board of directors for the Midwood Civic Association.
